LESBOS. Mytilene. Circa 521-478 BC. Hekte (Subaeratus, 10 mm, 1.33 g). Forepart of a winged lion to left. Rev. Incuse head of a rooster to left with rectangular punch behind. Cf. Bodenstedt 9.1 (for prototype). Halfed in antiquity and with a test cut and some breaks in plating, otherwise, fine.
